It is a long and narrow peak with apical parts made of crinoid limestone. From the west, it is adjacent to Czerteż, while from the south-east, the Sosnów Pass separates it from Sokolica. The southern slope is steep, rocky in places and descends to the Dunajec River and the deep valley of the Pieniny Stream separating the Pieninki Mountains from the Three Crowns Massif. Below the top, there is a rocky cliff about 35–40 m high, and below the steep slopes are covered with a rare pine and beech forest. About 50 m below the peak, a small cave with a length of 6 m was discovered in these slopes in 1953. The northern slopes are covered with beech and fir forest. According to legend, it was built in a place where Saint Kinga went to Dunajec, fleeing from the Tatars to her hideout at the Pieniński Castle. Szczęsny Morawski in 1863 writes: "And at the feet of Pieniny, immediately on the shore Dunajec got off, when she stood on a huge stone, the hardfish softened and the foot of her foot remained clearly squeezed, and from under the stone, on which she cried bitterly, the source of bitter water gushed." This stone was later transported to the monastery in Stary Sącz. The source was supposedly effectively treating eye diseases. It is not there, because according to the passes it dried up after it was desecrated by an Italian worker working on the construction of a road to a wooden bridge, which in the past, the road from Krościenko to Szczawnica crossed Dunajec.
