There are many hypotheses about what function it fulfilled and within these there are two that stand out or have greater acceptance and the first of them is that it was a palace where the Inca spent the summer and the second is that it was an administrative center where there was a representative of the Inca and/or the power of the Tahuantinsuyo Empire. Efforts are currently being made to turn it into a tourist center that boosts the economy of the surroundings and also seek legal ways to conserve it and prevent the product of invasions from being damaged or destroyed as has already happened.
