1. Westzijderkerk

The Westzijderkerk in Zaandam is located on the West side, one of the two streets along the Zaan. It is a cross church that was built between 1638 and 1640 and expanded from 1671 to 1680. The story goes that a pregnant woman was taken on the horns of the bull and at the same time gave birth to a child. Since then, the building has been popularly called Bullekerk. Since September 2019, the church has been a cultural center, where concerts and events are held.

2. Museum Zaanse Tijd

Museum Zaanse Tijd is a clock museum located in the Zaanse Schans in the North Holland municipality of Zaanstad. The collection consists of Zaan and Dutch clocks, timepieces and watches. Special attention is paid to the Zaan clock from the Golden Age, which has been popular in several periods since then. The museum is located in a 17th-century monumental sailcloth weaver's house, transferred from Assendelft, furnished with period rooms.

3. De Bleeke Dood

De Bleeke Dood, also known as De Dood, is one of the two remaining flour mills in the Zaan region. The mill is located in Zaandijk diagonally opposite the Zaanse Schans, on the corner Guisweg / Lagedijk. This mill on the Zaan is the oldest still existing wooden scaffolding mill in the Netherlands.

4. Houtwerker

The Woodworker is a four-meter-high statue designed by Yugoslav sculptor Slavomir Miletić. However, the statue, which was commissioned by the Zaan city council as an ornament for the new Beatrix bridge, was rejected by the council on 10 June 1963 on "aesthetic and technical grounds".
