1. Dorregeestermolen
The Dorregeestermolen is a polder mill built in 1896 and is located at Klein Dorregeest 2 in Klein Dorregeest, in the outskirts of Uitgeest and Akersloot. In an octagonal style above the attic is the inscription: D Poland J Meijer 1896. The previous paddle wheel mill burned down at the end of 1895 as a result of lightning strikes. The current mill is a wooden octagonal outer porter and has a wooden auger. The mill drained the 185 ha large dorregeesterpolder on the Schermerboezem. The mill is millable and still regularly stores water, although most of the work is now done by an electric pumping station next to the mill.
2. De Jonge Leeuw
De Corneliszoon is a sawmill on the industrial heritage park "De Hoop" in Uitgeest. The intention is to use this mill to power a band saw, circular saw and other small woodworking machines. The mill is the successor to the octagon of De Jonge Leeuw, which was removed in 2010. The barn on which the mill stands dates from 2008. The name of the new mill refers to Cornelis Corneliszoon van Uitgeest, inventor of the sawmill.
3. Tweede Broekermolen
The Tweede Broekermolen is a windmill built in 1631. The mill drained the Uitgeester and Heemskerkerbroekpolder with four more mills. The mill that is inhabited is located near the port area of Uitgeest, in the outskirts between the village of Uitgeest and Krommeniedijk.
4. De Dog
The windmill De Dog in the Dutch municipality of Uitgeest was built in 1896 for drainage of the Castricummerpolder, to replace an earlier mill that was struck by lightning in 1895 during a storm, killing two miller's daughters. In 1893 a steam pumping station was placed next to the old mill to strengthen the drainage.
5. De Kat
The original windmill De Kat/De Zien in the Dutch municipality of Uitgeest was built in 1864 to drain the De Zien polder. In 1971, a fire broke out due to an accident, in which the mill was lost. The mill was replaced in 1973 by a mill built in Alblasserdam in 1842, which was built at the shipyard J. Smit and Co. as a sawmill Ons Genoegen. This mill was demolished in 1952 and donated to the city of Haarlem, with the aim of replacing the mill De Adriaan, which burned down in 1932.
