3. TOP Noordwijk - Hollands Duin
A Tourist Transfer Point (TOP) is a 'natural junction', where various cycling, sailing, skating and walking routes start. Each TOP is recognizable by its landmark, a kind of obelisk is used in the east of the country, a blade of grass in the Green Heart and a remarkably large information column in the Gooi & Vecht region and the Rivierenland region. At TOPs there are often also some seats, a bicycle rack and a signpost. TOPs in the Gooi & Vecht region are also always equipped with bicycle rental, catering, (free) toilets, an ANWB Bicycle Service Box and a VVV information point.
4. Space Expo
Space Expo is a permanent space exhibition in the Dutch town of Noordwijk, in the province of South Holland, near Katwijk. The Space Expo is also the official visitor center of the ESTEC. The debriefing of a large number of astronauts also takes place here.
5. Watertoren
The Water Tower of Noordwijk was designed in 1917 in Art Deco style by the Amsterdam architect F.A. Warners and the technical installation was provided by R.P. van Royen. On the design drawing by Warners, the tower is more richly and expressively decorated than was eventually executed. According to a copper façade plate with an inscription in the tower, it was put into use in 1920. The water tower was also intended as a watchtower, which is why a stairwell was added. To save on construction costs, the tower was built on a dune.
6. Hoogewegse Molen
The Hoogewegse Molen is a seesaw mill dating from 1652, located between the Dutch towns of Noordwijk and Voorhout. The mill served as a polder mill. In 1711 and 1938, major renovations were necessary after storm damage. The mill is still grindable, but is only used voluntarily. He has a flight of 17.30/17.40 meters. Because the mill is located in an open area, it has great landscape value.
7. Maria ter Zee
