1. Mt. Yari

Mount Yari is one of the 100 Famous Japanese Mountains. The 3,180-metre-high (10,433 ft) peak lies in the southern part of the Hida Mountains of Japan, on the border of Ōmachi and Matsumoto in Nagano Prefecture and Takayama in Gifu Prefecture. The priest Banryū (1786–1840) founded a temple there. The headwater of Japan's longest river, the Shinano River, begins here as the Azusa River.

Mt. Jiigatake is a mountain with an altitude of 2,670 m in the southern part of the Hida Mountains (Northern Alps) and Mt. Hatate mountain range, straddling the town of Tateyama in Nakashinkawa District, Toyama Prefecture and the city of Omachi in Nagano Prefecture. On the Nagano Prefecture side, the mountain name is pronounced as "grandfather take" with a head-high accent. It also has other names of Mt. Tsuga, Tsugatani no Mine, Mt. Gorokugatake, Mt. Yadake, and Mt. Tsugashi.

It is the 66th highest mountain in Japan, facing the eastern side of Harnonoki-dake across the Harnonoki Pass.
