Marugame Castle is an Edo Period Japanese castle in the city of Marugame, Kagawa Prefecture, Japan. It is located in the center of Marugame city, in former Sanuki Province on the island of Shikoku. During the Edo Period, it was the center of Marugame Domain, ruled by the tozama Kyōgoku clan under the Tokugawa Shogunate. The castle site has been protected as a National Historic Site since 1953. Marugame Castle is one of only a dozen Japanese castles to have an original wooden 'tenshu' built before 1860.

5. 快天山古墳
The Kaitenyama Kofun (快天山古墳) is a kofun burial mound located in the Ayauta neighborhood of the city of Marugame, Kagawa Prefecture, on the island of Shikoku of Japan. The tumulus was designated a National Historic Site in 2004. It is the second largest burial mound in Kagawa Prefecture and the third largest in the Shikoku region, and is estimated to have been built around the middle of the 4th century.
6. Marugame Genichiro-Inokuma Museum of Contemporary Art
Marugame Genichiro-Inokuma Museum of Contemporary Art (MIMOCA) opened in Marugame, Kagawa Prefecture, Japan, in 1991. Architect Yoshio Taniguchi designed the museum building. The museum collection comprises some twenty thousand works donated by artist Gen’ichirō Inokuma. Special exhibitions of works by other contemporary artists are also staged.
