1. Museo Baroffio

The Baroffio Museum and the Sanctuary of the Sacro Monte above Varese is one of the oldest museums in Lombardy, it was, in fact, originally inaugurated in August 1900 in rooms annexed to the Sanctuary of the Sacred Mount in Varese. The building in which the collection is currently exhibited was inaugurated in 1936 thanks to the bequests of Baron Giuseppe Baroffio dall'Aglio, from whom the museum takes its name, with an installation curated by Lodovico Pogliaghi. After almost ten years of closure, it was reopened in December 2001, thanks to the Paul VI Foundation for the Sacred Mount.

2. Castello di Masnago

The Castello di Masnago is a castle, now a civic art museum, located atop a hill on Via Cola di Rienzo number 42 in Mantegazza Park in the quartiere of Masnago of the town of Varese, region of Lombardy, Italy. The oldest part of the castle is an 11th-century crenellated tower, much rebuilt over the centuries. On the ground floor, there is a frescoed room, the Sala degli Svaghi, and in the first floor two exhibition rooms – Sala dei Vizi and delle Virtù. Some of the latter frescoes pertain to the 15th-century school of Bonifacio Bembo.

The Lodovico Pogliaghi House-Museum is a house-museum located at the end of the Viale delle Cappelle del Sacro Monte in Varese. It was designed and built from scratch by Pogliaghi himself, and exhibits his collection of works of art including archaeological finds, paintings and sculptures dating from the Renaissance to the Baroque era and sketches, plaster casts, drawings by the artist himself.
