The monument to Alessandro Manzoni is a bronze sculpture located in the square of the same name in Lecco in Lombardy in memory of the great Milanese writer who set the novel, a masterpiece of Italian literature, of The Betrothed.

2. Torre di San Nicolò

The bell tower of San Nicolò, located on the northern side of the basilica of the same name from which it takes its name, is one of the symbols of the city of Lecco in Lombardy as well as being among the main monuments of the capital. Located inside the parish oratory, in an isolated position on an old defensive tower of the fifteenth century of circular shape that was part of the old wall fortification of the city in medieval times, it was inaugurated on Christmas Eve 1904 and is affectionately called Matitone by the people of Lecco for its particular octagonal shape and pyramid-shaped spire.
