Sabotin is 609-metre-high (1,998 ft) mountain ridge overlooking Gorizia, Nova Gorica, and Solkan on the border between Slovenia and Italy. At its foot stands the Solkan Bridge spanning the Soča River.

3. Parco della Rimembranza

The Parco della Rimembranza is a public park in Gorizia located a short distance from the city center. The park has an extension of about 2.5 hectares, has a rectangular plan with an orderly appearance and large airy spaces, it was built in 1923 in memory of the Gorizia volunteers who, challenging Austria, enlisted in the Italian army and fell in the First World War. The park was designed by Enrico Del Debbio in the area where the old city cemetery stood.

4. Sacrario Militare di Oslavia

The Oslavia War Memorial is an Italian monument to soldiers who fell in battle during the battles of the Isonzo, particularly those who died during the taking of Gorizia in 1916. It stands on a 150m hill in the village of Oslavia, on the outskirts of Gorizia. The hilltop was on the front line as Austro-Hungarian troops defended the salient around Gorizia during the first, third and fourth battles of the Isonzo.
