Heinrich Friedrich Karl vom und zum Stein, commonly known as Baron vom Stein, was a Prussian statesman who introduced the Prussian reforms, which paved the way for the unification of Germany. He promoted the abolition of serfdom, with indemnification to territorial lords; subjection of the nobles to manorial imposts; and the establishment of a modern municipal system.

2. Burg Nassau

Nassau Castle, located in Nassau, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, was the original seat of the House of Nassau. The ruins of the castle are situated on a rock outcropping about 120 m (390 ft) above the Lahn River. The House of Nassau was an aristocratic dynasty among whose descendants are the present-day monarchy of the Netherlands and Luxembourg.

Heidenpütz Castle is the stable of a rampart castle on a ridge near Nassau in Rhineland-Palatinate. It is located in line of sight to Nassau Castle directly above the Langauer Mill in the Nassau district of Scheuern. The complex is not dated, but the design indicates that it was built in the early Middle Ages.
