1. Hall of Liberation

The Befreiungshalle is a neoclassical monument on the Michelsberg hill above the town of Kelheim in Bavaria, Germany. It stands upstream of Regensburg on the river Danube at the confluence of the Danube and the Altmühl, i.e. the Rhine–Main–Danube Canal. It is just downstream of the Danube Gorge, towering above its lower end. It was commissioned by King Ludwig I of Bavaria to commemorate the victory over Napoleon in the Befreiungskriege of 1813–1815.

2. Klosterkirche St. Georg

The Roman Catholic monastery church of St. George of the Benedictine monastery of Weltenburg stands at the entrance to the Danube gorge and belongs to the town of Kelheim in Bavaria. It can be reached via a cul-de-sac from the Kelheim district of Weltenburg or by passenger boat from Kelheim. The monastery church is one of the most important sacred buildings of the Baroque period in Europe. Its present appearance was created between 1716 and 1718 and was subsequently furnished by the Asam brothers in the late Baroque style. Together with the monastery complex, the church is a listed building. Its patronage is dedicated to St. George. The Weltenburg monastery church also serves as the parish church of the same name in the deanery of Kelheim in the diocese of Regensburg. The patron saint's feast is celebrated on St. George's Day, April 24.

The small church is under the patronage of John the Baptist and John the Evangelist. The village church is the third church building in Weltenburg, along with the Benedictine abbey church of St. George and the Frauenberg chapel, which also belongs to Weltenburg Monastery.
