The Church of Our Lady of Königstein is a town church belonging to the Evangelical-Lutheran church of Königstein-Papstdorf. The first church probably dates back to the 13th century, but it was probably disused after 1428 and was replaced by the St. Mary's Church on the Schreiberberg. It was rebuilt in the Baroque style in 1704–1724 and completed by Georg Bähr. In 1810, the church burned down, leaving only the perimeter walls standing. The restoration was not completed until 1823 and the interior was rebuilt in the Classicist style. In the following years, it was not significantly modified. The church is a protected monument.
