Joensuu Art Museum Onni is a regional museum maintained by the City of Joensuu. The Art Museum was founded in 1962, and it manages and exhibits works belonging to donated collections and collections formed through its own acquisitions. In addition to the permanent exhibition, the museum organises annual exhibitions of Finnish and foreign art.
2. Utran kirkko
Utra Church is the oldest church in the Evangelical Lutheran parish of Joensuu Rantakylä. It was completed in 1895. The church was built during the heyday of the Utra sawmill and glass industry community. The initiative for the construction was taken by the inhabitants of Utra, and the owners of the factories donated a plot of land, construction timber and most of the labor costs to the church. The architect of the church is not entirely certain, but the designer is now thought to be Thomas Bamford, an English engineer who headed a sawmill company in the area.
3. Törni-Männistö Weapons Cache
The Törn–Männistö weapons cache is a rock hole in the city of Joensuu, in the former municipality of Eno along the Eno–Ahveninen–Kelvä-road; It is marked with an attraction-traffic sign along the road. The weapons cache is not related to the weapons cache organised by the officers of the Headquarters after the Continuation War.
4. Joensuun ev-lut. kirkko
Joensuu Church is located in the centre of Joensuu, North Karelia, Finland. The church was built in 1903 and designed by a Finnish church architect Josef Stenbäck. Architecturally it represents the Gothic Revival style, but it also has some features of National Romantic style. The high tower located in the northeast corner is the bell tower and in the lower southwest tower is the organ, which was built in 1969 by Organ Factory of Kangasala and has 36 stops. The church has 1000 seats. The altar painting is called The Crucifixion of Jesus and it is painted by Ilmari Launis in 1910.

Joensuu Laulurinne is a large summer festival centre in Joensuu in the Mehtimäki area, on the shore of Pyhäselkä. In addition to the covered large Laulurinne (singing stage), the area includes a 3.5-hectare public field.
6. Pyhän Nikolaoksen kirkko

St. Nicholas Church is the main church of the Joensuu Orthodox parish. It was completed in 1887. The church is located in the centre of Joensuu at the northern end of Kirkkokatu. The church is surrounded by the Park of the Cross. The church can be considered a landmark piece of Orthodox wooden church architecture from the 1800s, with its decorations and details. The most valuable part of the church, designed by G. I. Karpov, is probably the iconostasis, painted in the Alexander Nevsky Lavra in St. Petersburg. The six bells of the church are original. They are cast in St. Petersburg. The 120th anniversary of the Church was celebrated from September 22 to 23, 2007.
7. Carelia-sali
Carelia Hall is the ballroom of the Joensuu campus of the University of Eastern Finland and the most important concert hall in the city. It is also an important venue for meetings, parties, theatre and dance performances. The hall also hosts major university exams.
8. Olli Tiaisen muistopatsas
Olli Tiainen, was a Finnish peasant chieftain and partisan leader. During the Finnish War, he successfully lead a free corps of Finnish peasants in several clashes with the Russians, with his most notable action being securing the rear of Johan August Sandels during his defence of Savo, and delaying a Russian advance towards Pielinen.

Joensuu Pentecostal Church is a Pentecostal church founded in 1928. The leading pastor of the church is Jussi-Pekka Tahvanainen. The parish's premises are located in Niinivaara, Joensuu, on Niinivaarantie. The congregation belongs to the Pentecostal Church of Finland. The congregation has about 720 members. About one third of the members live in the area of nearby municipalities. The congregation also has prayer rooms in Pyhäselkä, Polvijärvi and Uimaharju.

Joensuu Free Parish is a free parish operating in Joensuu. The parish was founded in 1921. The head of the congregation is Jukka Laamanen. The parish's premises are located in Kanervala on Leinikkitie. The congregation has about 500 members. The parish belongs to the Free Church of Finland.
