The Church of the Birth of the Virgin Mary is a Roman Catholic, oriented, parish church in Hořice. It is protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic. The church is situated in the city centre, 100 metres south of the main square of Jiřího z Poděbrad in Hořice. In addition to regular church services, it is used for its excellent acoustics for organizing concerts not only of church and organ music.
2. Hlohová kaplička
The Chapel of the Virgin Mary Hlohová in Hořice, sometimes also called Jander's Chapel, is an Empire sacral building built in 1826 by Josef Ladislav Jandera, a native of Hořice. It is located on the very ridge of Chlum, about 300 meters west of the Masaryk Independence Tower. Since 22 December 2016, the chapel has been protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic.
