1. Basilika Mariazell

Mariazell Basilica, also known as Basilica Mariä Geburt, is a Roman Catholic church building in Mariazell, Austria. It is the most important Christian pilgrimage destination in Austria and one of the most visited shrines in Europe. In the church, a miraculous wooden image of the Virgin Mary is venerated.

2. Tonion

The Tonion is a 1699 m high mountain range of the Mürzsteg Alps in Styria, about eight kilometres southeast of the well-known pilgrimage site of Mariazell. It is the highest elevation in the northwestern subgroup of the Mürzsteg Alps and therefore offers a wide panoramic view.

3. Großer Wildkamm

The Wildkamm is a narrow, rocky edge in the Mürzsteg Alps in Styria. It branches off at the Gingatzwiese at about 1740 m above sea level from the central plateau of the Veitschalpe to the northwest in the direction of Niederalpl and reaches 1874 m above sea level in the Great Wild Ridge and 1757 m above sea level in the Small Wild Ridge.

4. Wetterin

The Wetterin is a mountain 1530 m above sea level in the Mürzsteg Alps, ten kilometres south of Mariazell in northern Styria. At the foot of the eastern ridge are the village of Niederalpl (1200 m) and the Wetterinalm, to the west Wegscheid (821 m) and the deep furrow of the Mariazell road B 20 over the Styrian Seeberg, which connects the Mariazell region – past the Hochschwab massif – with the Murtal.

5. Hl. Sigmund

The Roman Catholic branch church of Sigmundsberg is located in Sigmundsberg in the former municipality of Sankt Sebastian in the municipality of Mariazell in Styria. The branch church of St. Sigmund of the Basilica of Mariazell belongs to the deanery of Bruck an der Mur in the diocese of Graz-Seckau. The church and the churchyard are listed buildings.

6. Hohlensteinhöhle

The Hohlenstein Cave is located in Mariazell in Styria and can be reached via marked hiking trails in about 20 minutes from the mountain station of the cable car to the Bürgeralpe. The show cave was established in 1934, but it was not until 2014 that guided tours were offered again. The cave is accessed via a path, partly via ladders.
