3. Traunstein

Traunstein is the highest mountain on the east bank of Traunsee in the district of Gmunden, Austria. As measured by the height above sea level of its summit it is 1,691 metres (5,548 ft) high. Because of its almost vertical walls ending directly in the lake and secluded, advanced position Traunstein looks like a boulder in the landscape. Its distinctive silhouette is visible from a great distance therefore it is often called a guardian of the Salzkammergut.

The church is a parish church of the Evangelical Church A.B. in Austria and belongs to the Evangelical Superintendence of Upper Austria. 5. Kapuzinerkirche

The Capuchin Church of Gmunden is located in the municipality of Gmunden in the district of Gmunden, in Upper Austria. The church was built between 1636 and 1638. Since the closure of the monastery in 2007, the sacred building has been a subsidiary church to the Roman Catholic parish church of Gmunden in the deanery of Gmunden in the diocese of Linz. The Capuchin Church is under the patronage of the Visitation of Mary. The church and the former monastery complex are listed buildings.

The Gmunden Jewish Cemetery in the Upper Austrian city of Gmunden was opened in 1923, destroyed in 1938 and rebuilt after the Second World War. In contrast to numerous other Jewish cemeteries in Austria, the cemetery is in a well-maintained condition.

7. Schloß Cumberland

Cumberland Castle is a former royal palace in Gmunden, Austria. After the House of Hanover lost the throne of the Kingdom of Hanover, they went to Austria into exile. Gmunden became their exile seat, where they constructed Cumberland castle in 1882. The palace is designed in a Tudor revival style. The royal family lived here until the 1930s. After the Second World War, the castle became a state nursing home and is now owned by the State of Upper Austria
