The Huis van Zessen is located on the West-Kinderdijk in Alblasserdam and was built in 1923. The house was designed by Cornelis van Eesteren for the widow A. van Zessen. It is the only house designed by Van Eesteren that was built and still exists today.


Sight 2: Nederwaard Molen No.8
Nederwaard Molen 8 is one of the Kinderdijk windmills, in the Dutch municipality of Molenlanden. The mill that dates from 1738 is inhabited and cannot be visited. The owner is kinderdijk World Heritage Foundation. The mill has an iron paddle wheel with a diameter of 6.50 meters with which the low bosom of the Nederwaard is drained. Nederwaard No.8 is the only one of the Nederwaard mills that has never been raised. As a result, the mill has the shortest rods of the eight mills. On February 23, 2006, the king's spindle broke during grinding. In 2008 mill No.8 was restored for the last time.

The Blokker or Blokweerse molen is one of the nineteen Kinderdijk windmills. These mills are located in the Dutch province of South Holland. Unlike the other eighteen, this mill is not located on the territory of the village of Kinderdijk that belongs to the municipality of Molenlanden but in the adjacent municipality of Alblasserdam. The mill is also known under the name Blokkerse Wip, because it is a seesaw mill.

The top of the octagon has been mistakenly made 1 foot wider than indicated in the specifications, so that the mill shows slightly more substantial than the other seven on the Overwaard. The mill is inhabited and cannot be visited.
