It was an outpost of the Grabenpfarre and was elevated to an independent parish in 1981, and is the parish church of the parish of Graz-Christus der Salvator in the deanery of Graz-Ost of the Stadtkirche Graz. This is also where the Salvatorkolleg Graz is located, the Graz branch of the Salvatorian SDS.
