Stiftskirche St. Mauritius is a Catholic church on the Moritzberg in Hildesheim, Germany. The early Romanesque basilica built in 1058–1072 has been preserved without any major changes. The interior has been Baroque since the 18th century. The cloister is one of the city's most peaceful squares. Under the church is an impressive crypt, also used for church services.

Sight 4: St. Michael's Church

St. Michael's Church in Hildesheim is an Ottonian, i.e. pre-Romanesque or early Romanesque church after Kubach. Until the Reformation, it was the abbey church of the Benedictine abbey of the same name. Today it is an Evangelical Lutheran parish church. The Bernward Crypt belongs to the Catholic inner city parish and is used for weekday masses. Since 1985, the church, together with Hildesheim Cathedral, has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site under the name Cathedral and St. Michael's Church in Hildesheim. On 2 January 2010, an anniversary stamp (2.20 EUR) with the motif of St. Michael's was issued. Since February 7, 2014, a German 2 euro commemorative coin has been in circulation, the reverse of which shows the church.
