The Krasnodar Regional Universal Textbook Library named after A. S. Pushkin is the largest public library in Krasnodar. It was created in 1900 in honor of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the poet A. S. Pushkin. The first librarian was I. A. Kuznetsov (1870-1905). The initial collection consisted of 2807 volumes. The library was paid.
