The Sint-Gertrudiskerk is a church building in Wijlre in the Dutch South Limburg municipality of Gulpen-Wittem. To the west of the church is the Brand Bierbrouwerij from 1340 on the other side of the road and a little further is the water mill of Otten. Along the east side of the church runs the N595 and on the other side the main road to Gulpen. The church building is dedicated to Saint Gertrude of Nivelles. The building is located on a church hill in the middle of the village and is surrounded by a cemetery.

Castle Cartils is a castle located on the weg Wijlre-Wittem, on the territory of the former municipality of Wijlre in a rural setting near the banks of the Eyserbeek. A little further on, the Eyserbeek, Geul and Gulp meet. Near the castle is the hamlet of Cartils.
