1. Chiesa di Santa Lucia

The parish of Santa Lucia was founded by archiepiscopal decree on 10 April 1629 by the Archbishop Annibale d'Afflitto. His borders were expanded in 1783 by Monsignor Capobianco and since 1798 he was considered urban parish. The current church, of Renaissance style, was built in 1930 on a project by Carmelite Father Cesare Umberto Angelini and is located in the center of the city in via XXV July. The church has three naves and is preceded by a large staircase that allows access to it from the Via De Nava.

The Aragon Castle in Reggio Calabria is the main fortification of Reggio Calabria, located in the Castle Square of the same name between Ashenes Avenue and Posidonia Avenue. It is considered as one of the main historical symbols of Reggio together with Rias bronzes. It has been home to the observatory of the National Institute of Geophysics since 1956.
