1. Monumento equestre a Carlo Alberto

The equestrian monument to Carlo Alberto is a bronze sculptural group erected in 1843 in what is now Piazza Mazzini, in the center of Casale Monferrato, in the province of Alessandria, then part of the Kingdom of Sardinia. It was commissioned in 1838 by the administration of Casale in honour of Carlo Alberto di Savoia, King of Sardinia, for having raised the city to the seat of the Senate in 1837. It is the work of the Milanese sculptor Abbondio Sangiorgio (1798-1879); the base is by the Bolognese Pelagio Palagi (1775-1869); the bronze casting was carried out in the Milanese foundry of Luigi Manfredini.

2. Museo Civico e Gipsoteca Bistolfi

The Civic Museum of Casale Monferrato is located in the ancient Augustinian convent of Santa Croce, frescoed at the beginning of the seventeenth century by Guglielmo Caccia known as Moncalvo. In the twenty-four rooms there are more than five hundred works divided into the Pinacoteca, Gipsoteca Leonardo Bistolfi and Sala Vidua sectors.
