The Protestant Frauenkirche, named after the Virgin Mary in the Middle Ages, is an early Gothic church that has been rebuilt many times outside the Old City of Zittau in the Görlitz district of Saxony. It belongs to the Zittau Evangelical Lutheran Church congregation in the Löbau-Zittau district of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Saxony. Around the church is the Women's Cemetery, which is not only the oldest cemetery in Zittau, but also the city's most important denominational burial site.
