1. Neue Bühne Senftenberg

The Neue Bühne Senftenberg was founded on 21 October 1946 as Stadttheater Senftenberg in the auditorium/gymnasium of the Walther-Rathenau-Schule in Senftenberg, Brandenburg. This place, which has been converted into a theatre, is still used today. The opening premiere was a colourful evening with excerpts from operettas, operas, texts by Joachim Ringelnatz and Ernst Wildenbruch. The first operetta performance of the then three-genre theatre took place on 27 October 1946 in the Gesellschaftshaus of Senftenberg. The first theatrical production followed on 9 October 1947, and the first opera was performed in 1948. In 1959, the theatre was renamed the Theatre of Miners.
