1. Leuchtenburg

The Leuchtenburg is a hilltop castle near Seitenroda in Thuringia, Germany. The renovated medieval castle complex is used for tourism and houses the exhibition Porzellanwelten Leuchtenburg, a museum and, as part of a modern extension, a walk-in footbridge of wishes that protrudes into the valley The castle offers a wide panoramic view of the Middle Saale Valley and the Thuringian Holzland on a mountain cone visible from afar with a height of 395 m above sea level. The Leuchtenburg is considered the "Queen of the Saale Valley". In its long and eventful history, the castle complex was a medieval official residence, poor as well as madhouse and penitentiary and has been used for tourism since the end of the 19th century. Since 2007 it has been under the administration of the Leuchtenburg Foundation.

Dohlenstein is a mountain east of Kahla in Thuringia, Germany. Therefore, it is located about 200 meters above Saltar, and the valley floor of Saltar is located 160 meters away. The northwest slope of Dohlenstein descends steeply to a rebound slope of Saale. Around 1350, there was a vineyard there. Over the next few centuries, several landslides were released from there, leaving a groove as high as 40 meters in the vertically sloping rock below Muschelkalk. A large number of landslides were recorded in 1740, 1780, 1828, 1881 and 1920.
