1. Leuchtturm List Ost

The red-and-white striped List Ost lighthouse stands on the Sylt peninsula called Ellenbogen and is the second northernmost lighthouse in Germany after the List West lighthouse. It was built in 1857 and put into operation on January 1, 1858. Since 1977, the fire of the tower has been remotely controlled. Due to its proximity to a steep edge, the List Ost lighthouse was still considered to be in danger of falling around 2003, but since about 2007 the coastal erosion of the steep edge has come to a standstill.

2. Sankt Raphael

The Catholic branch church of St. Raphael is a church building in List on the island of Sylt, a municipality in the district of North Frisia (Schleswig-Holstein). It is the northernmost Catholic church in Germany and belongs to the island parish of St. Christophorus in Westerland. The municipality belongs to the Archdiocese of Hamburg. Styrian missionaries look after the church. It was originally intended as a place of worship for the naval personnel stationed on Sylt, who were withdrawn in 2006.

3. List West

The white lighthouse List West is located on the Ellenbogen peninsula on the island of Sylt. It was built by the Kingdom of Denmark and is not only the northernmost lighthouse, but also the northernmost building in Germany. It is also the oldest lighthouse on the west coast of Schleswig-Holstein and the first cast iron lighthouse in Germany.
