The Mittelbadische Eisenbahnen AG (MEG) were legally a predecessor of the Sweg-Südwestdeutsche Verkehrs-AG. They originally operated an extensive network of narrow -gauge railways in the Upper Rhine lowlands at the foot of the Black Forest in today's districts of Rastatt and Ortenau. The company was built in 1923, when the Lahr Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft changed its name in Mittelbadische Eisenbahnen AG on June 30 and took over the right bank of the Rhine of the Strasbourg tram company on November 15. In 1953 the MEG was expanded to include two normal track routes and a narrow-gauge route from the former Süddeutsche Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft (SEG). In 1955 the MEG also briefly operated the Müllheim-Badenweiler Eisenbahn.
2. St. Annenkapelle
The baroque St. Anne's Chapel stands on the border of Soratgau and Sintfeld near the villages of Lichtenau, Husen and Holtheim at the confluence of the Altenau and Holtheimer Wasser near the deserted Amerungen. The chapel is the property and branch church of the parish of St. Kilian zu Lichtenau. Every year on the first Sunday in August, pilgrims from the Sintfeld, the Soratgau and the entire Prince-Bishopric of Paderborn come to the Amerungen Chapel.
3. Bülheimer Großmutter
Bülheim's grandmother or Menhir of Kleinenberg is Menhir of Kleinenberg in Lichtenau town, Paderborn district. It stands vertically and is 2.30 meters high. According to legend, a lonely grandmother turned to Stone here while collecting wood in the forest. In the Middle Ages, a Christian cross and a bishop's staff were carved on stone.
