1. Hôtel Spa Le Splendid

Hotel Splendid is located in the commune of Dax, in the French department of Landes. The building, for its facades and roofs, as well as inside, the large hall and its décor, the dining rooms and their décor, the large smoking room with its décor, the stairs with their banisters and stained glass windows, and finally, the thermal fountain in the small west hall, is listed as a historical monument by decree of 18 December 1991.

The Dax Arena is located in Th é odore-Denis Park in Dax and was built in 1913. On the second weekend of September, bullfights and landais races are organized during the Dax Festival and Toros y Salsa Festival. They are part of France's seven first-class arenas, with the others Bayonne, Monte de Masan, Vic Fisensack, Nimes, Betziels and Arles.

3. Maurice Boyau

Maurice Jean-Paul Boyau was a French rugby union player and a leading French ace of the First World War with 35 victories, and one of the most successful balloon busters. Balloon busting was the dangerous act of bringing down enemy observation balloons; these balloons were densely protected by anti-aircraft artillery and patrol flights.

The Borda Museum was founded in 1807 by the city government in Dax, les Landes, when it purchased the curious cabinets of the 18th-century Landes naturalist Jacques-Fran ç ois Borda D 'Oro; he and his distinguished nephew Jean-Charles de Borda have since become patrons of the museum, hence the name.
