1. Hôtel Spa Le Splendid

The Splendid hotel is located in the town of Dax, in the French department of Landes. The building, for its facades and roofs, as well as inside, the big hall and its decor, the dining rooms and their decor, the large smoking lounge with its decor, the stairs with their ramps and their stained glass windows, and Finally, the thermal fountain in the small west hall, is registered as historic monuments by decree of December 18, 1991.

The Dax Arena, located in the Théodore-Denis Park in Dax, was built in 1913. Bullfights and the Grand Concours Landais are organised there on the occasion of the Dax festival and the Toros y Salsa festival, on the second weekend of September. They are part of the seven French first-category arenas, the others being those of Bayonne, Mont-de-Marsan, Vic-Fezensac, Nîmes, Béziers and Arles.

3. Maurice Boyau

Maurice Jean-Paul Boyau was a French rugby union player and a leading French ace of the First World War with 35 victories, and one of the most successful balloon busters. Balloon busting was the dangerous act of bringing down enemy observation balloons; these balloons were densely protected by anti-aircraft artillery and patrol flights.

4. Musée de Borda

The Musée de Borda was created in Dax in the Landes in 1807 by the municipality, when it bought the cabinet of curiosities of Jacques-François de Borda d'Oro, an eighteenth-century Landes naturalist; this man and his illustrious nephew Jean-Charles de Borda became the godfathers of the museum, hence its name.

5. Église Saint-Vincent-de-Xaintes

The Saint-Vincent-de-Xaintes church is a religious building located in the commune of Dax in the French department of Landes in the New Aquitaine region. Built in 1893 and located southwest of Dax, it bears the name of the first bishop of the city.

La Fontaine chaude is a spa located in the centre of Dax. The fountain itself is a Monument historique since 1946, while the portico and the remains of older structures around the fountain were registered on September 9, 1988.
