Herningsholm is a manor house from the year 1579 located in Herning in the northeastern part of the city. It is Herning's oldest building, and it was originally built in Renaissance style by the nobleman Joshua von Qualen, who had it built on a rampart near a stream in a damp meadow. The farm was then called Vig, but was rebuilt in 1754 and built in simple classicist style using the old manor house walls from the Renaissance. The unsymmetrical windows of the main building bear witness to the time before the Baroque period entered Denmark.
