The Josef Hoffmann Museum is a house and museum in Brtnice, the house is owned by the town of Brtnice, since 1 January 2006 it has been managed by the Moravian Gallery in Brno and is a joint workplace of the Moravian Gallery in Brno and the Museum of Applied Arts in Vienna. The house is located on Náměstí Svobody No. 263 in Brtnice and was probably created by combining two houses, the older one comes from around 1500, the houses were connected into a Baroque house after a fire in 1760. The living quarters of the house were on the first floor, on the ground floor there were operational and economic premises. The Viennese architect and designer Josef Hoffmann was born in the house. The house is part of the educational trail In the Footsteps of Modernism.
