1. Sint-Jacobskapel

The Sint-Jacobskapel is a chapel located on the Grote Markt of the city of Lier, in the Belgian province of Antwerp. This Gothic chapel was built by the city council in 1383 and dedicated to Jacobus the superior. She was plagued by fire in 1479 and recovered shortly afterwards. During the difficult years of the iconoclasm in the 16th century, the chapel was plagued by atrocities and then had to be initiated again. In 1636 the Jesuits officially become chaplains of the Spanish troops in Lier during the Spanish era. A total of 38 Spanish governors were active in Lier between 1560 and 1712. Because the chapel was used as a parish church for the Spanish troops, people quickly spoke of the Spanish chapel in Lier. A nickname that is still used. There are still several Spanish coats of arms in the church During the First World War the chapel was set on fire by the Germans, but after the First World War she was almost completely rebuilt by Lierse contractor Florent D’Hulst to plans by Leuven architect Frans Vandendael. However, the restoration was influenced by Canon Lemaire. She has been protected since 1939. The chapel is on the pilgrimage route to Compostella.

2. Sint-Pieterskapel

The Sint-Pieters Chapel, opposite the Sint-Gummaruskerk is the only Romanesque building in Lier, Belgium, the province of Antwerp, and also the oldest. The original chapel dates from around 1225. It replaced the wooden prayer site that was founded by Sint-Gummarus in the 8th century. After the completion of the Sint-Gummarus church at the end of the 15th century, a large part of the chapel was demolished. During the French rule, the chapel was emptied. Later, during the structure of the church outside the Leuvensepoort between 1901 and 1904, served as a parish church of the Holy Family. During the First World War the chapel burned out, but was rebuilt between 1922 and 1925 under the leadership of Lemaire. However, Lemaire did not follow the original shape of the chapel, so that only the chapel without the tower was protected as a monument in 1939. In 1994, however, the entire chapel with tower was protected as a monument.

3. Sint-Jozef en Bernarduskerk

The Sint-Jozef and Bernarduskerk, known as the church of Lisp, is a church in Belgium, located in the province of Antwerp in the Lierse Lisp district, on Lispersteenweg 275. The church is dedicated to Maria and has Sint-Jozef and Patroons and has Sint-Jozef and Sint-Bernardus. Jan Verheyen has been the pastor on duty since 2010. It is a brick basilical cross church that is oriented to the west. The front tower has four sections and a constricted needle striker. Since 2019, the church has been referred to as architectural heritage.

4. Zimmertoren

The Zimmer tower is a tower in Lier, Belgium, also known as the Cornelius tower, that was originally a keep of Lier's 14th-century city fortifications. In 1930, astronomer and clockmaker Louis Zimmer (1888–1970) built the Jubilee Clock, which is displayed on the front of the tower, and consists of 12 clocks encircling a central one with 57 dials. These clocks showed time on all continents, phases of the moons, times of tides and many other periodic phenomena.

5. Sint-Gummaruskerk

The Sint-Gummaruskerk is a church in the Belgian city of Lier, province of Antwerp, dedicated to Saint Gummarus van Lier. There is also a memorial framework in the church with 60 victims of the First World War. The Sint-Gummarust tower (Lier), known in Lier as "De Peperbus", is the tower of the Sint-Gummarus church. This tower is the oldest Brabant tower and was built to the plans of Hendrik Meys. The construction of the tower was started in 1378.

6. Stadhuis

The Dungelhoeff barracks was a military barracks in the city of Lier, in the Belgian province of Antwerp. The address is Baron Opsomerlaan 51, formerly Vaartlaan 47. The barracks were partly demolished, converted and with the site around it redesigned to accommodate a number of city services and private homes. The former military site and the neighborhood are now commonly called Dungelhoeff.

7. Binnenste Eeckelpoort

The Gevangenenpoort is the last remaining city gate of the original five inner gates of the first ramparts of Lier, in the Belgian province of Antwerp. The gate was founded in 1375 and from the 16th century to 1930 it served as a city prison. The bars still point to this old function. From the gate the city wall ran towards "Cornelius tower" which was also part of the city defense.

8. Stuwbrug

The Stuwbrug is a bridge over the Distraction Canal of the Nete in the city of Lier, in the Belgian province of Antwerp. The bridge is located above the weir that regulates the drainage of the water from the Distraction Canal back into the Nete. The bridge has three openings (weirholes) and is only used by cyclists and pedestrians.
