Poitschach Castle in the municipality of Feldkirchen was for a long time the seat of hammer lords. The baroque palace was built in 1715 by Johann Lorenz von Jovio. In 1759, Freiherr von Rechbach had the complex expanded and modernized. He was succeeded by Count Spindler, who sold the property to Countess Gilleis-Gavasini around 1800. After the bankruptcy of her family, there was a frequent change of ownership. Since 1938, the castle has belonged to the Senitza family and, in addition to residential purposes, serves as the administrative headquarters of a forestry and agricultural estate.
